Parent Loss Grief Group Registration

Whether the death of your parent was recent or many years ago, we welcome you. Whether you have done some processing or not much at all, we welcome you. Whether you had a loving relationship with your parent, or were estranged, we welcome you. Whether you were their caretaker, or lived continents away when your parent died, we welcome you. Whether you were adopted, part of a big family, or an only child, we welcome you. Whether your parent died tragically, or by suicide, we welcome you. Whether you have lost your first parent, or are an adult orphan, we welcome you.

Join in community with other adults (18+) who have lost parents as we journey through our grief and life challenges together.

Through conversation, deep listening, and the use of various creative therapeutic practices, this space will be nourishing, trauma-informed, and even occasionally, dare I say, *fun*!

This series is facilitated by Rev. Jessica McKimmie, who is a Grief Counselor, Death Doula, and Buddhist Interfaith Chaplain, and who has experienced two parent deaths.  The Parent Loss Grief Group is an interactive group, so please be prepared to participate with your heart, voice, and video. You can always pass if you are not up for speaking.

** This is a queer and trans affirming space.

What people are saying:

“I’m really glad I did this group. It’s been an intentional time in my week to really contemplate my grief and the process I’m in.”

I have loved the breakout groups where we get to know each other’s stories more.”

“This has exceeded my expectations.”

“I feel supported in group and look forward to being in community with everyone. It’s so rare to be with others who ‘get it’.”

This is a 6-Session, Bi-Weekly Group (every 2 weeks), and a new group begins each quarter.
